When we look at today's governments, it is easy to see why Jesus said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant" (Matthew 20:25b-26). The church is not to model their leadership after the governments of the nations of this world. Even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:5-6). Grace granted to us to sit together with Christ Jesus. In Ephesians 6:11 we are told to, "put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." We sit with Jesus in heavenly places and we stand against the wiles of the devil. Why does it appear that the devil is beating up the church all the time? Could it be that we are sitting under men instead of sitting with Christ in heavenly places.

Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus' feet, and He healed them (Matthew 15:30). Those that lay at Jesus' feet were healed; set free and not imprisoned. They also came to sit at his feet be taught. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word (Luke 10:39). Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life" (John 8:12). Those that follow Jesus (that is speaking of today's true believers) walk in light, because He is the light and He walks with us. If God treats us so that we sit with Him and He walks with us, shouldn't we treat each other in the same way? Children of God, I am looking for people that sit with Christ and walk with Christ, in the light of life, to walk beside me in the work of the Father. "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent" (John 6:29b). And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment (1 John 3:23).
